Hostel (2005)

I thought this would be a good Horror film. I had heard other Mixed reviews of this film and thought that since I like Quentin Tarantino's other films, I would like this one. This movie is only 1 hour 31 minutes long, and it's almost 45 minutes of gratutious nudity and then a switch to 45 minutes of gore. While both are top notch at what they are, the plot of the film was very minimal. I wouldn't recommend paying the $8.50 to see this in theatres, but it might be a good rental if you are looking for a weird gore movie. I give this a 5 out of 10 overall as the visual effects we pretty good.

Red Eye (2005)

This is a movie that I wasn't expecting much going into. It's directored by famed "horror" director Wes Craven, but unfortunetly this isn't a horror flick. Wes thought he would take a stab at a thriller this time around. I'm not sure how "thrilling" it can be though watching 2 people on a plane for an hour, but he attempted. The only thing I got out of this film was that Rachel McAdams is a versatile actress. As I couldn't wait for this film to end, I can only give this 4 out of 10 stars.

Wedding Crashers(2005)

Going into this movie....I thought It would be funnier than it was. With the cast of the likes of Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, and Christopher Walken, this could've been better. I do understand that sex sells, but some scenes in this movie are unnecessary for comedic value. It does have it's funny parts to it though, and the cameo of Will Ferrell helps out a bit. But, in my opinion, this movie can't be compared to the likes of Old School or Anchorman. Over all, I give this a 6 out 10!

The Movie Critic

Once a week, I'm going to come on here and update you guys on the movies that I have recently seen, Either at the Cinema or renting them. If I watch a movie that I've never seen before, I'm going to write a little bit about it. Maybe this will help someone decide if they care to watch a movie that they either wanted to see or didn't.
